Preheat oven to 375.
Cream butter and sugars at medium speed for 10 minutes.
Whisk egg, salt and vanilla in bowl and add to mixer. Mix till combined.
Combine buttermilk and cream.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Add half of dairy and half of flour to mixer. Mix one minute.
Add ginger, cinnamon and remaining dairy and flour. Mix till combined.
Fold in strawberries.
Fill greased muffin cups with batter till near full.
Sprinkle tops with reserved sugar.
Bake 25 minutes or until internal temp is 200.
