Instructions

  • Prepare the baking dish. Thoroughly butter or grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and place the frozen cinnamon rolls inside. Set the icing packets aside for later.
  • Make the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the vanilla ice cream, brown sugar, and butter. Stir until the mixture is melted, smooth, and well-combined.
  • Boil the sauce. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for about 1 minute while stirring constantly to prevent burning .
  • Pour and chill. Immediately pour the hot sauce evenly over the frozen cinnamon rolls. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator overnight to rise.
  • Rise before baking. The next morning, take the pan out of the refrigerator and let it sit on the counter for about 1 hour to come to room temperature and finish rising.
  • Bake. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve. Let the rolls cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with the reserved icing from the package while they are still warm and serve.
