Ingredients
- 1 package frozen cinnamon rolls, such as Rhodes
- 1 c vanilla ice cream
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c butter ( 1 stick )
Instructions
Prepare the baking dish.
Thoroughly butter or grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and place the frozen
cinnamon rolls inside. Set the icing packets aside for later.
Make the sauce.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the vanilla ice cream, brown
sugar, and butter. Stir until the mixture is melted, smooth, and
well-combined.
Boil the sauce.
Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil
for about 1 minute while stirring constantly to prevent burning
.
Pour and chill.
Immediately pour the hot sauce evenly over the frozen cinnamon rolls.
Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator
overnight to rise.
Rise before baking.
The next morning, take the pan out of the refrigerator and let it sit
on the counter for about 1 hour to come to room temperature and finish
rising.
Bake.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the plastic wrap and bake
for 25–35 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked
through.
Serve.
Let the rolls cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with the reserved icing from the package while they are still warm and serve.
