Rest and Cool:
Let the corn rest for 2 to 5 minutes until it is cool enough to handle safely.
Shuck Mess-Free:
Wrap your hand in a clean dish towel or oven mitt for protection.
Cut off the stalk/bottom end of the ear, slicing about an inch up (just above the bottom row of kernels).
Grasp the top (pointed) end and gently squeeze or shake the corn downward so it slides right out of the husk, leaving the stubborn silks behind.
