Instructions

Sift dry ingredients ( flour, soda and powder if using ) together.
Cream sugars,salt and butter in mixer for 3 minutes, add egg and vanilla.
Mix till blended ( 3 minute ), add dry ingredients, mix 2 minutes.
Add chips and mix until uniform.

Place dough in fridge for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375F.
Divide dough into 18 pieces, form balls, place on silicone baking sheets - 9 each

Bake 11 minutes.

Notes

Cookies will be about 4 inch across.

Can divide in 12 pieces for larger cookies ( about 6 inch ).

Sugars can be changed in ratios -
more brown sugar makes cookies chewy with deeper flavor
more white sugar makes cookies crispy with lighter flavor
all white makes a sugar cookie.

Possible addition: 1 Tbs dark rum or other liquors
